Wax Melt Care

English & Français

A few little things to help you enjoy your wax melts safely and beautifully.

A wax melt is a little ritual. A favourite fragrance, a gentle warmth, a moment to slow down.

Here are a few simple things I recommend to help you enjoy your Darling, Rest. wax melts with care.

Safety First

This is the part I don't want you to skip.

  • Never leave a lit tea light or an operating electric wax warmer unattended.
  • Keep wax melts and warmers away from children and pets.
  • Never place a warmer near anything that can catch fire.
  • Always use your warmer on a level, stable, heat-resistant surface.
  • Keep your warmer away from drafts, curtains, fabrics, paper, and other flammable materials.
  • Never move a warmer while the wax is hot or liquid.
  • Never touch hot wax or add water to it.
  • Do not use a warmer that is cracked, damaged, or operating abnormally.

If you're not sure, switch it off.

How to Use Your Wax Melts

Place one wax melt in the clean, dry dish of a wax warmer designed for wax melts.

Use your warmer according to the manufacturer's instructions. If you're using a tea light warmer, use the appropriate tea light and never leave the flame unattended. If you're using an electric warmer, follow the manufacturer's instructions for operation and safe use.

As the wax warms, it will melt and gradually release its fragrance into your space.

No water or additional ingredients are needed.

Let the Fragrance Unfold

Your wax melt is designed to release fragrance as it warms.

Enjoy the scent while it lasts. The wax may remain fragrant for different lengths of time depending on the fragrance, warmer, and surrounding conditions.

When the fragrance has faded, it's time to change the wax.

Remember: The wax does not need to disappear to be finished. The fragrance can fade while the wax remains in the dish.

When It's Time to Change the Wax

When you're ready for a new fragrance, switch off your electric warmer or extinguish the tea light.

Allow the wax to cool and harden completely before removing it from the dish.

Never handle hot or liquid wax, and never pour melted wax down the sink. It can harden inside your pipes.

Follow your warmer manufacturer's instructions for removing used wax and cleaning the dish. Make sure the dish is clean and dry before adding a new melt.

A Little Care Goes a Long Way

For the best experience, use your wax melts only in a warmer designed for this purpose.

Avoid overheating the wax, and follow the warmer manufacturer's recommended operating times. Never leave a tea light burning or an electric warmer operating unattended, even when the fragrance is no longer noticeable.

Slow down. Warm gently. Stay awhile.
Ralentissez. Réchauffez doucement. Restez un moment.
