This is a small corner of the internet created around candles, rituals, rest, and the little moments that make life feel a bit more like your own.

These Terms of Use explain a few important things about using this website and purchasing from Darling, Rest. I know terms and conditions aren't exactly bedtime reading, so I'll keep them as clear and human as I can.

1. This Is Darling, Rest.

Darling, Rest. is a small, independent business based in British Columbia, Canada.

I create and hand-pour my candles in small batches. Because they're handmade, small variations in colour, texture, finish, and appearance are completely normal.

They're part of what makes each one a little bit its own.

I do my best to make sure product photographs, descriptions, sizes, colours, and fragrance notes are accurate. However, colours can look different depending on your screen, and fragrance is naturally experienced differently by everyone.

2. Using This Website

Please feel free to browse, shop, read, save, and enjoy this website.

Just use it responsibly.

That means you agree not to:

• Use the website for anything unlawful or harmful.
• Try to interfere with the website or its security.
• Copy or use Darling, Rest. content for commercial purposes without my permission.
• Pretend to be Darling, Rest. or someone connected to the business.
• Use my content, images, writing, artwork, or branding in a way that could mislead people.

Basically: enjoy the space, but please don't take it apart and call it your own.

3. The Creative Stuff

A lot of care goes into the world of Darling, Rest.

The name, logo, photography, illustrations, writing, product names, collection concepts, artwork, graphics, and overall visual identity are my creative work unless otherwise noted.

Please don't copy, reproduce, modify, sell, or use these materials commercially without my written permission.

You're absolutely welcome to share Darling, Rest. content for personal, non-commercial purposes — a little credit is always appreciated.

4. The Candles

I make Darling, Rest. candles in small batches, which means availability can change.

Products may sell out, be discontinued, or change over time. I reserve the right to make those changes whenever necessary.

I do my best to describe every candle honestly, including its fragrance, materials, size, and appearance.

A small reminder: fragrance is personal. A scent can smell different depending on the person, the room, the temperature, and many other little things.

5. Candle Safety

This one is important.

Candles involve an open flame, so please always follow the candle care and safety instructions that come with your candle.

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Keep candles away from children, pets, drafts, curtains, paper, and anything else that can catch fire.

Please burn responsibly and use common sense.

Darling, Rest. isn't responsible for damage or injury caused by improper use, misuse, or failure to follow the provided safety instructions, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If you're ever unsure about how to use or care for your candle, please ask me.

6. Orders & Payment

When you place an order, you're asking to purchase the products in your cart.

I'll do my best to keep everything accurate and available, but occasionally an item may become unavailable or there may be an error in a product listing or price.

If I need to cancel an order for a genuine reason — such as an availability issue, pricing error, or suspected fraudulent activity — I'll let you know and refund any payment you've already made.

All prices are shown in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.

Applicable taxes and shipping information will be shown at checkout.

7. Shipping

Flat-rate shipping $8 • Complimentary shipping on orders $75+.

Orders are generally prepared and shipped within 5–8 business days, followed by the carrier's delivery time.

8. Returns & Exchanges

Something not quite right with your order?

Please see my Returns & Exchanges Policy for information about returns, exchanges, damaged products, refunds, and fragrance preferences.

Nothing in that policy is intended to take away any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

I care about how your information is handled.

My Privacy Policy explains what personal information I collect, why I collect it, how it may be used, and the third-party services that may process it, including Shopify and payment providers.

10. Shopify & Other Services

My online store is powered by Shopify.

I may also use other services to help me run Darling, Rest., including payment processors, shipping providers, email services, analytics tools, and other technology platforms.

These services may have their own terms and privacy policies, which apply to your use of their services.

Sometimes I may include links to other websites because I think they're useful or relevant.

Those websites aren't run by me, so I can't take responsibility for their content, availability, security, or privacy practices.

I do my best to keep everything on this website accurate and current.

But I'm human, and occasionally a typo, outdated detail, or other little mistake may slip through.

If I discover an error, I may correct or update the information without notice.

I want you to have a lovely experience here, but I also need to be clear that I can't guarantee that the website will always be available, completely error-free, or free from technical issues.
